Grace & Truth for Spiritual Battles

Grace and Truth

Do you believe spiritual battles are real?

Have you ever stopped to think about it?

The Candid Gals and I have spent a lot of time talking about them over the past few months. Between health issues, and just being overwhelmed with life, we know it’s more than “just life.”

Paul wrote to the Ephesians, “…our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

I believe that with every fiber of my being.

Especially when I read the Bible. Books like Job. Or Paul’s own thorn in his flesh, which he called a ” messenger of Satan.”

If you’ve never read C.S. Lewis’ book Screwtape letters, it’s an eye opener. I’ve heard This Present Darkness is also good.

The point is, spiritual warfare is real.

Yet even knowing that spiritual warfare is real… knowing that there are spiritual battles that need to be fought… I don’t always feel like a prayer warrior.

That’s why I wanted to choose to feature Beth’s post this week. Beth shares four simple ways we can be on guard. Ways we can “Battle Strong in Times of Spiritual Warfare.” However, it didn’t feel like something that was overwhelming. It was doable. Even for someone like me who suffers from chronic migraines, has four kids, and doesn’t always remember how old she is.

Any who, I hope you’ll hop over and check it out. You won’t regret it.

I’m honored to be highlighted, Heather and Valerie! Yes, I agree. Spiritual warfare is indeed something we need to be aware of and prepared to fight effectively in each day. Thanks for the linkup! I’ll be sharing!
