Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
Matthew 7:7-8
Taken out of context, Matthew 7:7-8 is a genie-in-a-bottle scripture.
It’s one of those used and abused promises that turn confused believers into disheartened atheists.
And that’s when the enemy gets his wish granted.
So we need to be careful to allow scripture to interpret scripture to understand “What is Jesus REALLY Promising.”
What is Jesus Really Promising?
As soon as I read Michele’s post, I knew it was the one for today because she took me through an easy, practical explanation of a verse that the enemy has used to disillusion millions of believers.

So today I’m asking Jesus to prompt you to share Michele’s post with anyone you suspect believes Jesus abandoned them in their time of need.
It may sound like a big ask, but after reading Michele’s post, I have faith Jesus will deliver.
Will you obey?

Are You Up For Some Family Fun This Holiday Season?
Christmas is right around the corner. If you’re looking for something to do with your family over the holiday, consider teaching them how to make their own t-shirt or decorate a coffee mug. Everyone will walk away with keepsakes and memories, which will make this holiday a hit.
Now For This Week’s Link Up!
Let’s bless and encourage one another in our walk with the Lord…

We hope this link-up will be a source of encouragement each week. If you are a Christian blogger, we invite you to link up and meet new friends within the Christian blogging community. If you’re a reader, we encourage you to visit new bloggers and discover women who love Jesus as much as you do. Whoever you are, we hope you’ll meet Jesus here.

Michele, your words are always encouraging to my heart. The honor is all mine. I’d always wanted to write a post about that verse and you just did it your trademark beauty in simplicity that I love so much. I really pray that your post is shared a million times (asking big…!).
By the way, I love your new theme 🙂
