Do you have trouble falling asleep at night?
Would you be surprised to learn that this is a common struggle among women? In 2002 the National Sleep Foundation did a survey that found 63% of women suffered from insomnia.
That’s a lot of tired ladies.
So why do you think that is?
What keeps us up at night?

My Sleepless Story
I used to have trouble sleeping. Like, a lot of trouble. But over the past couple of years, I have been able to overcome.
The main thing that kept me awake was replaying conversations from the day over and over again in my head. Beating myself up for things I thought I did wrong or said wrong. Areas where I failed.
If I didn’t finish my to do list, I would stress over it.
Sometimes I would go back even further. Like that time in high school when I failed to share the gospel when one of my friends specifically asked me how to become a Christian. But I was in a hurry and didn’t take the time to stop and to lead Him to Jesus.
Other times I would stress about the future. Things that were yet to come. How were we going to afford that car repair? I needed to have a conversation I didn’t want to have.
Whatever it was it would eat me up and keep me awake.
Even just remembering makes my stomach churn.
Do You Have Trouble Falling Asleep?
Can you relate?
Tammy Kennington can. That’s exactly what I found when I stumbled on to her blog while visiting the posts that were linked up last week.
Tammy shared her story, but then she shared something more. She pointed us back to Jesus. Because when fear sets in, our faith can help us quell the storm.
In addition to Tammy’s post, I wanted to share Jennifer’s post with you as well. Jennifer compiled a list of a dozen strategies that help her fall asleep. Some of them are strategies I have used myself. Others are ones I have recently heard doctors recommend (I see a lot of doctors).
If you have trouble sleeping, I highly recommend checking it out.
Tammy and Jennifer, feel free to grab the “I’ve Been Featured” button and add it to your posts so your readers can celebrate with you.
